If I pulled it apart like you showed. Cut that bump stop then the shock would compress more.
This still isnt allowing me any shock travel. In the end I see the only and best way to do it is to buy short koni and cut the tubes.

or get shorter camber plates. the GC plates would give you at *least* an inch of travel at the same height you are right now.. without cuting and welding anything.

Good to know... Just called IE and cancelled my order and gonna spend the extra 25 on some gc camber plates.

+1. all these kids want to go through all the trouble to get those trick VW bodied konis and effort... when all you have to do is buy the right camber plates. Or like that dude Mucci whining about drop with stock strut mounts.

I run GC plates and have it waaaay too low without even trying. (My stock spring perches are still there btw as well!) Do it the normal and RIGHT way and you'll be fine. Sure, you could do the complicated way, but buying the right plates will be fine.

And like Hellabad was pointing out, you can be just as low with billies... if you have the right camber plates. I just saw a slammed GC'ed ride yesterday rolling on billies.

Like they all have said, I'm nearly tucking the fronts (215/40/17) and could probably take it down another 3/4" maybe a full 1".

Nearly tucking? As in nearly tucking the whole tire/ some wheel?

GC camber plates and coilovers on this car. Non modified strut tube. Had about 1" left on coilover threads.

Refer to my avatar and sig pics:

GC plates, coilovers, and springs, with 1.5" of drop left on all four adjusters.
