I've honestly really enjoyed my R888s, both sets.

That's the general consensus I've gotten thus far. I have multiple Evo buddies who run them on their track cars and they swear by them.

How many miles have you seen out of yours, nando?

I run them 3 seasons, and put about ~12,000 miles per year on my car, and the first set lasted me 3 years, 20-thousand some odd miles. I think this will be my 3rd year on the 225s, so I guess around 24,000 miles?

I paid 100€ a tire, but in the larger tire size there is usually always an equivalent or better tire for less. 245/45/16 is a dying size though, might be your only option besides Bridgestone re-11's

That's some pretty decent mileage out of such a sticky tire. I heard the trick with the R888s is to not turn the wheel while sitting still ;)

I would totally agree, however, in that size I'm limited, like you said. If only 17s looked as good as 16s on an E30.

I feel for the price, R888s > the re-11s.

All my e30's have 17''. On my 87 I have on rear 17x9.5 et 24 255-40-17 Toyo Proxes RA1. Front 17x8.5 et 14 235-40-17 Toyo Proxes R888. Rolled fenders on front and back.

For now e36 m3 front. Soon to be changed to e30 strut 5 lug kit with e46 330i rotors and calipers. Rear e36 318ti control arms with z4 rotors and rear e36 m3 calipers. On GC coils and billy's.

Shit, I have 1000 lb springs and think I would rub with that. I'll post my pics later, but damn.

There is a lot of crap in the trunk weighing it down. I have the coil set low.
The spring rate is front 450 and rear 650.

Man, I really don't usually care for 17's on a non-M E30, but beefy setups like that make it look so much more right, love it!
