I have also thought about going to a staggered set and running 8.5 wide rims in the back. I believe that will give me around an et 13 if I get 1" wider lips. Will this work and if so with what size tire?

I am trying to achieve a bbs rs wheel that its final spec would be 16 by 9 +15.

To do so I should look for a wheel with a high offset and maybe 7 inches wide?

Im thinking a wheel thats 16 by 7 +45. So that you can have space to put bigger lips.

Basically if you want big lips you need a high et? Then you measure the size of the lips

that are currently on the wheel then order the new lips accordingly?

For every 1" you add it takes the wheel -12 lower et off the wheel.

For ever 0.5" you add it takes - 6 lower et off the wheel.

Is this correct? Any help would be great im a noob at this bbs rs building.

I will need to refinish them but I finally found these after looking for them for over a year.

I'm going to go ahead and leave this here:

0 offset wheels that are 8" wide or more have no place on an E30 without HEAVY fender work aka pulling/flaring. I'm not even answering these posts anymore. :)

          Now on to the rest...

            Tires : ???

Friend has a set of 16x8 custom wheels that he never finished as the centers have not been machined yet at all in terms of hub bore, bolt pattern, offset. Aside from the obvious 4x100 spacing, 57.1 center bore, what would the ideal offset be to fit without needing spacers/rolling etc...? I would like to run 225 width tires, but that is not set in stone. I'd rather run a 215 tire than have to roll/do fender work. Machinist said that there is enough metal to do anything from 0mm offset to 28mm offset, and he can obviously do diff offsets fronts/rears as well. Thanks in advance for any help.
Think you phoned me regarding this, right?

Well you need a net offset of +5 to safely clear the front struts, then go maybe +0 on the rear to balance it out. You'll need SERIOUS, SERIOUS fender pulling and/or flares to pull them off. And about 3.5 degrees front camber, minimum.

They fit, 205/50 215/45 or 225/45 tires. Lug nuts you'll have to ask Konig.

I'm getting very close to pulling the trigger on a set of Schmidt Revolution Modern Line wheels. The options I'm struggling with are (here is where I need your input) -

Option 1: All 4 wheels 16x9 et15 4x100. Tunershop says these will fit fine with no rubbing and no spacers needed but...will there be any poke out from the fenders? Will the rears poke also? I want a flush look all around. Which leads me to...

Option 2: Fronts 7.5" et25 with 9" et15 rears. Would this give me more of a flush look or is it the same as the above option since the 7.5" fronts are et25?

What tire size do you recommend on the 9" on all 4 corners option and what tire sizes for the staggered setup option so there is no rubbing? I would like as much tire as possible.

                  Thank you
Tunershop should know that what they're selling (16x9 all around) does not fit without 3-5mm front spacers. The fronts will be poking, the rears not so much.

The staggered setup will need 20mm spacers to make the fronts fit remotely even to the rears.

215/45/16 Falken RT-615k or Kumho XS all around if you're worried about grip. On either setup.

I am looking to get some 17's with a flush type fitment, and have been looking at the Team Dynamics Pro race 1.2 atm.

                    They have listings for:-

                    17x7 et35, 40, 45, 50
                    17x7.5 et15, 25, 30, 37, 45, 53
                    17x8 et20, 25, 33, 38, 40, 48, 53
                    17x9 et23, 27, 30, 35, 40, 45

I would rather have a decent sized rear tyre than super stretch.

With so many options i was looking at the 7 or 7.5 front in the 15-20 offsets and the rear i am quite unsure of atm.

What would you chose in my situation? (tyre sizing would be great too)

Theres are the wheels for reference. http://www.rimstock.co.uk/wheeldetail.php?id=44
17x8 +25 front and 17x9 +27 rear. 235/40/or 245/35 tires all around with a flat rear roll. Instant hotness.

I will probably go with the 8" wide tire just to make life easier. I'm thinking of using a 15x7 with 25mm offset. I think I would then need a 10mm spacer up front to keep the sidewall off the strut. Any thoughts? (In case you are not familiar with them, these tires, typically used in SCCA "Production" class racing, are specifically designed to mount on a 15x7 and are VERY wide through the cross section varying from 9.5" to 10.5" depending on which one you chose).
Those are massive. Your calculations are good, but if that thing goes past 10" section width you might need a correspondingly larger spacer.

They poke almost the same like 1-3mm of difference. The Eccentrics are
set up to "stock" settings. So I can always add a little camber in the

Good tire choice. They should fit with just a flat roll in the rear.

30mm front 40mm rear. I'm being serious. High offset + 7" width means you can't get those flush easily.

The tire you're planning on running is much too tall.

                                205/50 215/45 and 225/45 all work.

Spacers will require smaller tires and rolled fenders. If flush fitment is your priority 205/45 and 10mm rear spacers.
