Has anyone stretched Yokohama Advan AD08 tires? I've heard they run about 10-15mm wider than they claim. I was thinking about going with a more narrow size in these. Just worried about the metal band in the sidewall and them being too stiff. I've been searching and can't find any pics of these tires stretched. It's not too much stretch, wondering if I can get away with it and the tires not get destroyed. Think I've read somewhere about someone stretching them pretty aggressively and they ended up tearing to shreds. They're a little too pricey for them not to work out. 'Preciate the help.

Edit: Going with bfg kdw 2, they run a little wide and come in 205/40 and 215/40. Should work out nicely, hope the noise isn't a problem tho.

              Hey guys, I've got BBS RA's: 6j x 15 x H2 (what does H2 mean?)
it also says "253 ET30" on it...don't know what that means either.

What's the widest I can run on em, what sidewall height do you guys recommend and should I put thinner tires up front? I think I have 205/50/15 on the back and 195/50/15 on them right now.

Oh, also, what brand and type of tire do you guys suggest? Should I search around for a used set or should I get brand new?

That's a lot of questions, but I didn't want to get flamed for starting a new thread.

              Thanks

What size tire for a 16x7.5 with either a 0et or 5et (offset of rim is either 20 or 25, I dont recall, and I will be running 4x100 to 5x120 adapters). Car is sitting on H&R race springs with 15mm drop hats.

                Thanks.

I'm ditching the springs for a set of these.. . http://www.r3vlimited.com/board/show...over+group+buy. I'm going with the 400f/600r spring rates (I think). I'm also going with the camber plates offered. I've been asking around for what tire sizes would suite my needs. I want a flush stance, might need some small spacers to dial it in. As for the tires, I'm looking for a slight stretch, nothing to compromise the integrity of the tire. I also want equistretch. I'm thinking a 225/40 or 45 in the rear with a 215/40 or 45 or 205/40 or 45 up front. Will the 45's rub? Is the 205 too skinny for the front? I've been using this site to determine what sizes have similiar stretch.. http://www.willtheyfit.com/index.php...&Submit=Submit. I've been looking for pics of similiar wheel setups on an e30 but haven't had much luck finding what I need. Any suggestions and/or pics are much appreciated. Thanks guys.

edit: the rear fenders are already rolled
edit #2: think I'm going with 215/40/17 or 205/40/17 front and 225/40/17 rear... who the hell makes a good 225/40?
There are no 225/40s worth buying.

205/40 front 225/35 rear is your best bet.

I'm seriously concidering 16x8 Rota RB's et20 57.1 center bore. Will I need to roll my fenders at all for these to fit? If so what is the widest tire size I can mount on them; again with out any modifications to the fenders. I just ordered a set of H&R sport springs & Bilstein Sports for the car as well. Figure that may be important since it should drop the car 1.3 inches or so.
205/50 is the biggest. Even still, it's going to be a close call with the rear arches. 205/45 is guaranteed to work.

Flush is the only option. Style 4s with adapters are 0 or below offset.

The car is a 93 convertible sitting on Bilstein Sport and H&R Sport. Tires I'm thinking of getting are Conti DWS all season tires. These are the wheels I'm fitting on the car.

225/45/16 is what you want. I'd need to know the offset of the wheels first.

225/45/16 should fit without spacers, but I'd rather go 15mm spacers all around with rolled rear arches.

15mm spacers might be enough with the BCs, but 20mm to be safe. Run that size all around for even fitment, along with 205/45 tires.
