I was running m systems with 215/40r17 ... and they rubbed in the back
Why run E36 offset RX's with E30 M3 suspension? They'll work with 15mm spacers, but the proper offset versions look much better (concavity).

it also says "253 ET30" on it...don't know what that means either.

What's the widest I can run on em, what sidewall height do you guys recommend and should I put thinner tires up front? I think I have 205/50/15 on the back and 195/50/15 on them right now.

Oh, also, what brand and type of tire do you guys suggest? Should I search around for a used set or should I get brand new?

That's a lot of questions, but I didn't want to get flamed for starting a new thread.

        Thanks
They're 15x6 +30. 195s are the widest you're going to want to run on a 6" wheel...205/55 is possible but not optimal. 195/60 or 195/55 are closer to the proper diameter.

          Thanks.
195/45 or 195/50. Rolled rear arches.

Paper thin strut clearance. Will work with most tires, but not all.

Mystikal, I'm new to the site. Just picked up a 90 4dr and it has some rota 15x8 e4 wheels currently with some falken all season 195 50 15s. Car is lowered on GCs and fenders are rolled. How much tire can I fit do you think? BTW I am deciding between XSs, Azenis, RS3s, and Star Specs.

              Thanks!

So they're +4 offset? Your tire size is about maxed out then, but if you're willing/able to roll more then 205/50 is in the cards. I've used all four of those tires and have a soft spot for the R-S3 right now. Star Specs are unbeatable for wet/dry combo though.

I came from Azenis and am running the RS3 right now. I absolutely LOVE these tires!

Can you tell me why it's not optimal?

Will there be a noticeable decrease in performance when I make the drop from 205's to 195's? Or will it feel better because it's "optimal"?

                      Thanks.

                            Probably a 205/45 tire.

will it be safe to try as it is or should i get spacers? if so, what size for the front? rear?
                              thanks

I have them laying around my garage and I would like to get my car off jackstands as I sold my m systems. ..

So ill be needing 15mm spacers to clear the strut? ... test fitting it seemed like it cleared but very close to the strut for the tire

.... what would be an optimal tire size?
