      I picked up some 17x9 TD ProRace 1.2 (et30) to run with I.E. flares.

      What spacers would I need to run 245-40-17 tires?

        I picked up a 15 x 7 Borbet B(fat five spoke) with ET35 a few weeks ago. Will I be able to run the wheel either in front or rear without rubbing while I am waiting for spacers to be made up? The tire is a 205-50-R15. If it will fit, will stock wheel bolts be long enough for the +35 offset?

        Finally, the other three wheels on the car are 15x7 Borbet C's with ET30. Since I'm machining the spacers myself, what size should I shoot for for equal spacing all the way around? 15mm for the single and 10mm for the other three? Should I be aiming for a final ET20 or something else?

          20mm would be the safe bet. I'm also assuming you have E30 hubs.

            I don't think the wheels will fit without the spacers, but you're free to try. I know I've used the same tire on a 15x6.5 ET33, but that of course gave me ~7mm more room due to the width and offset difference.

            ET20 is a good option, but make sure you can machine 10mm spacers. If the wheel is 57.1mm hub (meaning it doesn't need rings for the E30), then a 10mm spacer won't physically work. If it's a larger bore, then yes a custom xx.xmm -> 57mm spacer will work. I'm pretty sure those Borbets do have a univeral hub bore, but make sure of it.

              Jay what can you tell me about tire pressures and their affects on handling and such? I can't recall but I was wondering since I need to check it.

                just picked up some 16x8.5 Kosie K-1s, what's the widest tire I can run on slightly dropped suspension?

                  Well, every tire/wheel/suspension/driver/road combination has an ideal tire pressure, for both front and rear. While it's impossible to give someone an ideal pressure, you can find info online that tells you what raising/lowering the psi will do to the car.

                          Interesting. You got those off a board member with a white E30, right?

                          Basically, you need at least a 10mm spacer just to clear the front struts. So if you want to use your existing hardware, put the 16mm in the front and the 8mm in the rear. Problem is, once you do that you won't have room for anything bigger than a 215/40/16 up front and a 225/40/16 in the rear without heavy fender work. That's still plenty of tire for an E30, but you really won't be using the 8.5" width.

                            Cool, thanks for the info. When you say won't physically work, is that because of the hub lip being longer than 10mm? How long is the hub extension? I believe the 3 C's are 57.1mm because there are no hubcentric rings or spacers(previous owner). The et35 wheel I know is 57.1mm inner hub.

                            I'd like the same offset all the way around... if ET20 is impossible what should I shoot for?

                              Yeah, 10mm hubcentric spacers that aren't oversized on the wheel side won't work with E30s. Every 10mm hubcentric spacer you see is custom made to fit a larger wheel bore. To be honest I've never really delved into the science of it (like why 5x120 cars can pull them off), but I've been told by spacer machinists that it won't work and that was good enough for me.

                              You can go for ET15, using 15mm spacers and one 20mm. This will work with the 205 tires, but nothing wider is recommended.

                                I am looking at some staggered 17x8 inch front and 17x9 inch rear wheel's. What would the optimal offset be?
