215/40/16's? It looks severely undersized and there is still a fair amount of stretch there.

Lets not get caught up in taking the picture literally. I just want similar wheels on my e30 with no stretch. But I keep hearing lots of shit about Diamond Racing wheels so I am skeptical on buying them. I haven't been able to find too many alternatives. Anything at all? Thanks!

Your math is correct, but I wouldn't stagger the tires. You're looking at using a 195/55 at most probably.
thank you, although i did decide against them.

i will prob do some sportmax 16x8 +0, although i am unsure of tires. need to do this as cheap as possible. billy sports, cosmos, 16x8 +0 and what, 215/45's? i am not afraid of rolling fenders, and i do have the high arches. any input? writing this all down for when it's time.

I'm thinking about purchasing Beryern Mesh wheels 15 X 7, but they're only available in ET +27. Planning on keeping 205/55/15 tires. Will they stick out too much on a iX? Thanks!!!

245/35/16 will fit with aggressive fender rolling. perfect offset for the rear, 9" fronts gets more tricky.

15mm spacers and you'll barely have to roll your fenders

They will stick out 14mm from stock. should still fit in the fender just fine IMO

more reading, is a 215/40 better? looks a hell of a lot easier to find, and cheaper.

if your car isn't really low the fender gap looks pretty silly with the lower profile.

I have a '90 4 door, lowered on BavAuto springs, fenders rolled slightly. Looking to stuff some 16x9's in the fenders, either KT1's or Azevs. I'm thinking et +15 or so. Definitely going for something near to flush, but nothing crazy.

I want to get some decent rubber onto these, not diggin the whole stretched tire thing. I was thinking about wrapping them in 225/45zr16 BF goodrich g-forces. Will this tire size rub at all in your best estimates? Are there better sizes available to use for this wheel w/o stretching the tire to all hell?

                      Thanks in advance,
                      Garrett

this is exactly what i was going to ask too haha. except i am lowered on H&R race springs. Thanks for asking this one because i certainly want to get the info on what i have to do as well to make em fit without stretching.

                          Style 4 16x8 ET23

215/45 and 225/45 are significantly more expensive than 225/50. I know the outer diameter will be off, making the speedometer slightly slower. But will this cause an increase chance of rubbing even if i thoroughly roll the fenders? I'm honestly not a fan of stretch.

I'll be doing an e36m3/Ti 5 lug conversion if that matters.

....unless someone can point me to some decently priced tires (for autox/some daily).

I definitely want to get steelies for my car but I hear lot of crap about Diamond Racing. Which steelies are more "legit"?

If I choose Diamond Racing, which size wheel would fit without rubbing? Could I run 215 40 16? Or even 225?

                            Thanks ya.
The Diamond steelies aren't hubcentric, which presents a few (debatable) safety issues. I don't know of any E30-specific steelie manufacturers.

I don't know what the offer in terms of width and offset, if you provide me with the options I can narrow it down.

Probably a 16x8, with a 205/40 or 215/40. Hard to see in that pic.

Nope, that's about perfect. Stick to 205/55 for no fender rolling.
