Hey, I'm another noobie with a question :)

1986 325e on KYB's and vogtlands. What fitment issues might I run into with a square 16x9 et13 Borbet Type A setup? And what tires would you recommend f/r?

They're +15 actually. You'll need 3-5mm spacers to clear the front struts. For tires I recommend 205/45. You can add ~10mm rear spacers later to fill the arches if you wish.

I'm thinking about picking up a set of VMR VB3's for my E30 318is. Im looking at getting 18x8.5 up front and 18x9.5 in the rear. Offsets available are as followed:
Front (20 or 40) Rear (22/33 or 45) The car has E36 M3 front control arms and E30 M3 rear hubs. What offsets and tire combination do you suggest?

So full E36 front geometry then? If so:

18x8.5 +40 front, 18x9.5 +33 rear. 215/35/18 front tires, 225/35/18 rear. You may want to add small (5-8mm) spacers on the rear once everything is mounted, but have a look first.

ok on the 15x7 +35 borbet type c's, what size tires should i run? does running different sized tires affect the speedometer?

I'd personally go with the 225. Actually I have, as I run that size on my 15x7 +20 BBS RZ378s. Flush look is better suited for wide wheels, IMO.

Whats up guys just picked up some 16x7.5 Momo Sport wheels from a guy i know for a pretty cheap price. The tires on them are 205/40/16 and looked stretched as well as rather low. My car is also lowered with H&R Race springs with billy sports. My question is whether or not I would be able to fit 225/45/16 tires. Also as of now with the current tires the back wheels fit fine while the front wheels were touching the front struts, I'm not sure what size spacers I should purchase. I believe the offset of this wheel is et35 or 40 but I'm not 100% sure and can't find it on the wheel.

Just realized I never got a size from you. In any case look into the Nitto Neo-Gen, it's a fantastic all-season with comparable wet/dry performance to the 912 but with better winter traction and treadwear. I actually use it on my winter beater, as our roads only have snow/ice maybe 5-6 days a year. It may not reach your mileage goal, but it should be close; it also costs very little so that offsets it a bit.

I don't know if this changes anything but the size is 205/55-16. I also get a 20% discount at Goodyear/dunlop/kelly store and discount tire. Any Pirelli's that might be a good buy with the 20% discount (or is buying pirelli's just buying the name). I'm mostly concerned with wet traction/hydroplane resistance since the roads around her hold water like no other. I had the arizonian's (from discount tire) on my e30 and liked them a lot. Where awesome in both snow and rain. Just looking at reviews, what do you think about the P Zeros or/and the Goodyear F1 all seasons or Goodyear assurance tripletred? I don't see the nitto in discount tires line up but will check to see if they can get them.

Are the neogens going to be better then the 912 in rain? I guess to sum it up I'm looking for the best tire in the rain (any of them doesn't have to be the 912's or neogen's).

Traction T/As are one of the longest lasting tires made today, might wanna expect a little less from anything else. I actually really like this tire for daily non-enthusiast duties. If you want to save a bit the Hankook H726 (I think that's the number) is great.

Is there anything else you might suggest with a little less road noise? She told me she hates the road noise with the T/A's. They have been good tires so if she has to put up with the noise she'll be alright.

You'll need small spacers to clear the front struts, 5mm is enough. You will not need to roll the fenders, even with 225/50/15 tires.

Thanks for the advice, I just changed my mind (again lol) decided to go with 15x8 Axis OG San's with a +25 offset... does that make me good on having enough space to clear the strut? I'm gunna dropped on Intrax springs (drop about 2.25 inch from what I have read) and Blistein sports.

Tire wise I'm thinking 50 series but haven't decide on the width yet.. I have more research to do on that, not really wanting to have tire stretch but I'm not wanting a huge ass tire either.

Edit: also I was talking with a guy and he said I'll have to roll the fenders... I figured I would be safe since the offset was only 25 but is he right?

17x7 Racing Hart C2 concerns

Hey guys, I bought some Racing harts for my 84 325e. Got them for cheap, so I didn't really think too much about the fitment because I could unload them if they dont. Anyway they're 17x7 4x100 and I don't know the offset. There is # 30 stamped on the back along with a 9/9. the distance from the hub to edge of the rim using a piece of flat wood and a ruler was +/- 5 1/2". Will these work with 215/45/17's?

Seeing that you cant wait for Jason I will throw in my 2c,

5 1/2 backspace should equal et38, add some 20mm bolt ons for et18 and run 215/40-17s
and take the bbs caps off :p

205/55 is typical. This size won't affect the speedo.

Yeah you might want to verify the offset somehow (online scouring?). You should be fine with 15mm spacers all around, but if they are indeed +35 to start with then it will be very close.

Some Pirellis are spectacular, some are terrible (as with all tire companies, really). The PZero (just PZero, if there's any other part to the name it's not good) is fantastic, but as a max performance balls-out summer tire. The Pirelli passenger line is not very good today.

F1 A/S and Tripletread are both excellent tires, in the rain also.

The Neo Gen and 912 are both very close in the wet, either is a great choice IMO.
