    Through search I've learned that if I run a 17x9 I'll need a 15 offset (13 was quoted by the master, but, breathing room).

    Here's the kicker. I want to run the Star Specs in 265/40R17.

    Just how much work am I going to have to do?
    In a word, flares. If you're dead set on keeping the stock metal (i.e. autox classing) then it's possible with a serious hacking, but flares are needed for it to look at all reasonable.

The car will be lowered on gc's with shortned struts, and i would just like for the wheels to be flush with the fender. They are 17x7. This is on an early body car btw. Thanks for any advice
      If you want flush you're looking at absolutely massive spacers, like 50mm rear 40mm front. Obviously that isn't optimal.

      I'd go with something realistic like 20mm front 30mm rear. They won't be near flush at all, but is a good overall fitment.

        I was thinking about 20mm spacers all around to clear brakes and try to get pretty flush, and a 205/50 o 205/55 but i can't decide which would look better; i don't want wheel gap but i don't want to rub either.
        Even with the 205/55 you will not rub with 20mm spacers all around. That setup is only 3mm more aggressive than a stock 15" weave (i.e. no difference).

          what would be a good amount of space to get relatively flush then? 25-30mm?

            Don't know if this question belongs here, but I'm guessing it does since it's related to fitment. I have 15x7 O.Z. Fittipaldi weaves with an et26 offset wrapped in 205/50/15 rubber. I wanted to put some spacers to have a more flush look without having to roll the fenders. If I put 10mm spacers, would that bring my wheels out enough? or should I look for some bigger spacers? Thanks.

                I just bought a set of maxxim lemans 16x7.5 et35. Yes, 35. The centerbore is larger too. Right now, they'll rub on my front struts. I'm thinking of running 10mm up front and 15 mm rear in terms of spacers. Can I simply get custom hubcentric spacers or do I need to buy the rings too?

                  Hey, first and formost, thanks for doing this for the community. Wish there was someone like you when i was buying wheels for my gti.

                  Anyways, pretty new to the E30 world and would like to know how these will fit..

                  F= 9x17et6
                  R= 10x17et19

                  I know it will be quite aggressive but the car will be on air, so not to worried about driving, just want to make sure it wont look like a 94 rodeo from south central.

                  Thanks,
                  Mike

                    I got 16x8 +20 rims and 225/40-16 tires. How big of a spacer will I need to make it more flush. I'm on H&R Race with Bilstein HD. I also have access to a fender roller. Thanks in advance!

                      what kind of tires(if current ones are not adequate) do you recommend and what size spacers?

                      i am trying to go as wide as i can without pulling(fenders are rolled) and as low as possible ;)

                          Going to be running 16x8 et20 all around, just wondering if i should run a 205/40 or a 205/45?

                          My car is really low now, tucking tire, however i have a B+G "lowering" suspension setup i will be putting on (which will raise the car up) and im on the fence if i should run a 205/45 to minimize wheel gap?

                            20 front 25 rear, and keep the 205/55s.

                              10mm in the rear alone would be a nice upgrade. Otherwise 10 front 15 rear!

                                Unfortunately no, the much more aggressive fitment of the new wheel means you'll have to run a slight stretch. 205/45 is my recommendation.
