Can't recall. Just buy from somewhere that sells them properly (spacers+lugs combined).

Nice! I honestly don't remember what I told you specifically (lol) but yes XS's are great! I'm ordering some 245s for the front of my Roadster soon. :)

Changed my front tires to 205/55x15 from 225/50x15. Because they rubbed when I first put them on with the Falken ZE912 225/50x15 on Ronal LS 7.5 15, I put 5 mm cheap spacers on. First drive on the highway the front end shimmied like crazy at 60 mph. Plan was to down size the tires and run them without spacers.

A couple of days ago I put the new tires on the rims and put them on the car without spacers. Without tightening the lugs all the way, rotated the wheels and there was still a little scraping sound. Decided I would drive the car home and order 3 mm hubcentric spacers. When we tightened up the lugs there was then a loud scraping sound. After several on and offs finally figured out that the problem was not the tires, but the long wheel lock lugs that I ordered with the wheels. Swapped out the wheel lock lugs and everything appeared to be fine.

Back wheels may have also been affected by wheel lock lugs. Back wheels where making a ticking sound. Originally we thought this was the something with the e-brake adjustment. But know I am thinking that the wheel lock lugs where hitting something inside the brake.

Took the car out for test run tonight. Smooth at 65 on the highway, no more shimmy.;)

            Will 15x8 ET25 with 205/50/15 fit direct on 1986 325e?

Will 15x8 ET25 with 205/50/15 fit direct on 1986 325e? car is not modified lowered and fenders are not rolled. Thanks!

I have read the thread and I think this will work but just want to make sure before I go back to the tire shop and spend the money to swap the tires.

I have two set of tires and wheels. First set is RS001 (ET25 stock) with 2" lips, which I think puts us at ET13, with 225/50/15's. Second set is Ronal ET 25 with 205/55/15. Cars1 is a lowered 91 mtech vert (rear fender lips rolled) Car2 is a stock 89 vert. Both set of tires are Falken 912's.

I tried to put the RS rims on the mtech and there was rubbing in the rear so I did not mount the fronts. I was wondering if I put the 205/55/15's on the RS001 (ET13) and the 225/50/15's on the Ronal's (ET25) if they would roll on either car. I want to stay away from pulling the fenders but rolling the lips is fine if necessary. If the 205's won't work on the Mtech with the RS rims what tire and size would you recommend that would protect the lip as much as possible.

              Thanks,

              Jim

Hey, I am doing a five lug swap on my '89 convertible and I just ordered a pair of EST-002 for the front in 16x7.5 et20 and the same in 16x9 et20 for the rears. The car is going to be on e36m3 front and 318ti rear with e30 H&R Race springs. I also dont know what tires i should run, so advice on that would be great!

I assume it depends on the tire size, but should I have any fitment issues? Thanks!

*edit* if I do have a problem would running e36 BavAuto Sport or e30 H&R Sport springs fix it?

Interesting. The 912 should not have rubbed without the spacers, something is slightly askew with your struts. Glad it's all sorted out now.

5mm front spacers to clear the struts. Nothing needed on the rear, but it would look a lot better with ~10mm back there also.

Ideally I'd recommend 205/50 tires for the RS', but you just might be able to get away with the taller 205/55. The fender lip has to be absolutely flat, and I hope the springs aren't too too soft. The 225s are fine on the Ronals.

Wait, you're going 5 lug to run rims that already come in 4 lug fitment? Seems odd. Also, E36 M3 front means brakes also? Pretty sure they won't fit under those wheels. Finally, the offsets are all wrong with E36 5 lug. You want 35 and up.

Yeah, i had some wheels I wanted to run but the offset wont work. At the time I thought it would work I had traded for most of the 5-lug swap parts. so now i bought wheels to use the swap stuff I already have.

Well I talked to 2 people at ESM and they both assured me that it would fit, so i guess i'll have to test fit all of the e36 parts on one side just to see how they look. This is so lame.

                            Fitment Help

1989 325i, completely unmodded. Getting some 15x8 et36 with some 225/45/15 tires for autox. Will this rub the strut? Thanks for the help!

I have a 91' 325I vert and I want to run a set of 17" style 5's that I had for my M3. I will be using 18mm adaptors/spacers on 205 tires. Will this work? and will they be sticking out too much?

Thank you for your comments. What is your recommendation for a good tire for daily driving performance in that size.
