The car is now 95% track use running hsax events and the class I run allows tires with a wear rating of 140, which is a lot better than the 280 the T1r's come in at.
I am having a really hard time finding any tire with a 140 rating in 245/??/16. Any suggestions?
Fenders are rolled flat and slightly pulled, with 10mm spacer front and 5mm rear. The toyos fit beautifully, but I do have room for a wider tire up front and taller aspect all around. I went with 215 fronts to match the OD of the 245s out back.
Open to new size combos as long as my grip is improved over all.
The Kumho XS is also quite good and comes in a 215/45, but it's downright scary in the wet. If you don't have a dedicated wet setup, avoid these as they will ruin a wet lapping day for you.

Dunlop's site shows a 225/50/r16 in the star specs, would that aspect fit on my wheel/spacer setup? I wouldn't mind running that size all around.

OK, got me some new wheels! 16x8 et0 - ESM 001 (I love em, don't care if you hate em).
I am running GC coilovers with race camber plates...so lots-o-camber.
Questions:
1) What size 16" tire will give the largest contact patch, still have some stretch, and not rub?
2)Assuming some stretch, will fender rolling be required? Keeping in mind that I can raise front and rear about 1 inch and also lower it about 1 inch (collars are right in the middle).
Thanks!

found some borbet LS wheels.
size 16x8 with 205/45/16's mounted.
offset is 1 inch.
will these clear? could i get away with running a spacer in the rear to get a lil more agressive look?
EDIT: they are coming off a miata with center bore of 54.1. how expensive would it be to get these bored out to 57.1?Last edited by devon.818; 08-06-2011, 08:52 AM.

Mystical-
I picked up a almost new set of Kumho V710 tires. The size is 225/45/R16.
My car has a moderate amount of fender roll and I am currently running 225/45/R17 without an issue but I am not sure of the offset of the Kosei wheels that I am running.
My question is, What would be the best wheel size and offset for the Kumho tires? I autocross so they will not be used for DD. 16x8 or wider?
