Fitment and tires question:
I am buying some Borbet BS that are 16x7.5 et 35. (What tires can be run and are some sizes usually cheaper than others?)
I currently have some 10mm hubcentric spacers but the hub diameter is for bigger size like honda, etc.
I was planning on having the raised lip of the spacers ground off and just use them as 10mm non hubcentric spacers. (Is that safe and ok?)
Car is stock height but I am installing an M50 which will probably drop my front end a bit due to the added weight but if it is not enough I will go to lowering springs or those jom coilovers. (Will that affect my tire choices?)
Sorry for all the questions but I appreciate any help.Comment

Hey guys, i've been back and forth between what kind of wheels to get after the swap is done. I just sold the esm reps (no more reps ) which were a square 16x9 et 10 215/40/16 setup. I felt the car had to be to low to pull of the small stretched tires and with the condition of the roads I spent more time pothole scanning then enjoy my drive. I'd like to get some meaty tire to accompany the massive power boost (think 225/45/16). So now if I'm shopping to have some wheels custom built to my spec and wanted to get your guys input on build specs. I was leaning towards 16x8 et 20 to fit the larger tires but also be able to lower the car enough to achieve a healthy balance (full gc coils with camber plates). So basically if you could build your wheels to any spec with respect to having a proper tire, what would it be?
That's if you're limiting yourself to 16s, which have by far the worst tire options out of E30 plus-sizing. Otherwise I'd go 17x8 +25 (what I mentioned to Apex for their E30 Arc-8s) and run a 235/40/17.Comment

245/40/17 all around
17x8.5 et41
10mm spacer in the rear
E36 m3 5lug front
E30 m3 5lug rear
I have 235/40 all around right now but would like to go a bit wider now that i have the s50 turbod. It looks as if there is enough room for them but i want to be sure so im not stuck with tires that rub.Comment

Great thanks.
They already rub a little on full steering lock on the plastic liner. Its not really a big deal to me as i barley ever have it turned that far.Comment

You see any problem with E30 M3 5-lugs (GC Coil'd) on staggered MSystems?
17x8 et15 215/40 (5mm spacer to clear E30 M3 brakes)
17x9 et22 245/35
I know it's going to take some rolling in the rear, but not sure how much. I want to be able to run slightly tucked (see, not raked) to keep the car somewhat balanced. Yes, I know staggered = understeer. TIA!Comment

17 x 8 et 35 or 20 in front
17 x 9 et 40 or 25 ( haven't really figured out how the difference in offset will look and effect my BBK.
Right now the car is stock suspension wise, and no fenders rolled. Fenders will be rolled and the car will be lowered on Billie Sports. I want as much meat on the tire as possible.Comment

BBS RS 16x7 et25 (1' lip) and 16x8 et12 (2' lip). i want to change the lip. how wide i can go to get flush/stance? TIA
for now i'm running koni sport and IE3 w/ drop hats on late model. i might upgrade GC coilover soon. i have tires 205/45/16 never been mount on those rims.
thank you for quick response. :)
are these solid set up for everyday car? i don't want more than 1.5 negative camber. my plan just look perfect stance and tires don't get camber wear.Comment

If you find a way to increase your front negative camber 235/40 all around is possible (aggressive rear roll needed). Otherwise 215/40 front.Comment

An E30 low enough to fit those properly would have 2.5-3 degrees negative in the rear, and it's pretty much a necessity to fit them properly. If your toe is in check via eccentric bushings it shouldn't be a big deal (camber does not chew through tires like toe can).Comment
