Really aren't many choices in 225 that are all-season and fit an E30...Falken ZE-912 in 225/50/15 is the only one I can think of. It's a great tire but not that capable in the snow/ice. Not recommended for anything but very light winters. They should work without spacers on stock iX weaves as far as I know.

they are 15x7 ET 35, and they fit a honda...

my memory suggests that I will need a hubcentric ring and probably a spacer (I'm not an IX). Anyone know what exactly I'd need to make it look proper and fit proper?

Well, euroweaves are 15x7 et24, so a 10mm spacer would get it at stock fitment.

Ah - good point. I never thought about that. I don't really "do" rims usually...I take it I would need longer bolts and the hubcentric ring?

Thanks - I think I figured it all out. I cant find any metal huncentric rings, is fairly common that they are plastic? Im looking at the honda hub, to the e30 hub which is 56.1 to 57.1

Chances are the wheels have a much larger bore (75mm or similar) rather than being hubcentric to the Honda. If they are indeed Honda-bored wheels you can't use them without either custom adapters or machining the centerbore. Plastic rings are fine for street use.

No, think about it. Your hub is 57mm, and the wheel's hub is possibly (but not likely) 56.1mm. You need the scientific opposite of rings, which is removing material inside the wheel so that it can go over your hub.

But, again, unless they're OEM Honda wheels there is a very little chance they are actually 56.1mm.

Its finally time for a new wheel size and setup for the E30.

Mystikal, I need some help.

91 318is, 5 lug, coilovered on E38 style 5's.

I will be rolling, and potentially flaring the fenders a bit.

Are 225/45's doable? How about 235/45's?

The more rubber the better, as the car has the potential to have the S52 resupercharged in the near future.

i have snowmoblie treads but the wide stanse my short spring white one has is so beautiful i need them for summer.. perhaps im over my head and should stick with 205 but there are no options in 215 all season either.. no big deal ill catch the yoko again in 205

Yeah, probably not gonna happen. I can see a 215/45 working though. And the sticky Kumho XS comes in that size (there's nothing in 225 that can touch that tire).
