Correct me if im wrong but Comparing the 195/45 to a 225/50 I would get a little over a inch wider & just under 2 inches taller using a 225/50?
Or would it only be about an inch taller?
Im using a wheel calculator & just wanna make sure im looking at the correct calculations.

All of this info is nothing without offset.

I have a question for you. Which side of the rear of the E30 pokes more? I think it's the same on all of them. I have 5mm and 6mm spacers and want to use each on the according side that pokes more... Is that ridiculous or what? Haha.
LOL...I'd say the driver's side could use the extra mm. The things that keep us up at night, eh? (Sorry, I'm Canadian, deal with it)

Just go to tirerack and read the diameters from their charts.

I promise...this is my last question for a long time!

Need tire recommendations for the following wheel setup. These would be for a late model E30 with mildly rolled fenders. What is the biggest tire that would fit?

              All four wheels: 16" x 8" et 17

                Hey
What would be a good size tires for
                16x9 +15 all around (esm 002R's)
Want to run 8mm spacers front and 10 mm spacers rear.
Have seen this set up with 215/45R16
                (Brandon's Car http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum....php?t=1836626)

BUT his tires look too thick (aka too much side wall for my taste)(Specially in front)
What size tire would be recommended? I was thinking 215/35R16...
Fenders are rolled and plan on doing a -2 degree camber all around also.
                Thanks in advance

Im running 215/40 on my Borbets. I like the size cause its not too much stretch. I got the size off Stanceworks as they have a wheel and tire size thread with pictures, which helped out a lot.
Go visit the site and find the thread. You might find a good size there.
I don't even own this car anymore, but I'm too lazy to change the picture.

I'm pulling the trigger on wheels tonight but just wanted a confirmation that I'm getting the right tire size. I ordering a set of TRMotorsports C1 in 15x8 and I'm thinking of the Yokohama S-Drives in 205/50R15. I'm on unknown lowering springs, prob Bav Auto ones and I can't roll the fenders. My car is an 87 so I have the higher rear arches. I'm not going for a stretched look, just want to find the squarest tire size that wont rub (if that makes any sense).

I would be eternally grateful for any feedback!

I just bought some BBS RS and was wondering...

                        2 wheels are already 16x9 +11
2 other wheels I will have resized. Would the 16x9 +11 work in the rear fine?

What should my resized wheels be to match the 16x9 +11s?

                        205/45/16 all the way around?
                        Or 215/40/16s?

Will this work??? (Fender rolling will be done of course...)

                        Help please!

                          Front -- 17x8 +0
                          Rear -- 17x9 +0

Fenders are rolled flat and rear has a slight pull already. Both front and rear have aftermarket camber adjustments.

I was thinking 215/45/17 for the fronts and run a 225 or 235 rear? Thoughts?

225/45/16 as long as you're not running very soft springs. You'll find better tires in 215/45 though.

205/45 or 215/40. I prefer the 205 as it fills the wheel gaps slightly better.
