ASK ALL WHEEL/TIRE FITMENT QUESTIONS HERE - The Official Wheel/Tire Fitment Thread
I just picked up some 15x7 et20 wheels. fronts don't clear the caliper, so I know I'll need spacers there. I'm still undecided on tire size, I just run FK lowering springs and KYB struts.
is this a forgiving offset? seems like my options on tires are 205/50, 205/55, or 225/50?
anyone have any input at all on potential wheel gap, or spacer recommendations?
Can't answer you without knowing how much spacer you need to clear the caliper. And you'll have to figure that out on your own.
I've been thinking of picking up a set of e38 style 5's. 16x8 et 23. Not sure what tire combo to run yet although I don't plan on having anything stretched. Car is going to be on Koni adjustables and h&r sports. It's an mtech2 92' 325i vert. I've been on the white stock weaves for a while now and wanting to get into a wide size wheel. Recommendations on a sport/street setup with these wheels?
17x8 et15 was thinking 225/40/17 up front and possibly 235/40/17 in the rear? Or should just stay 225/40's all round? Going on a late 88' touring. Plan on running fairly low and already have rolled and slightly pulled guards.

215/40 is your limit. 225/40 doesn't really exist AFAIK.
