How would the fitment be for 17x7.5 et 35+. I would be running a 205 45 17 tire.

The better question would be, what would give his setup the most aggressive stance? 15mm spacers? Thanks Mystikal.Comment

Hi there
Would like to run 15x8 +10
However stretch is out of the question due to certification issues.
What sort of tyre options are available?
Or would it be better to go +20 with a meatier tyre for a more flush fitment and no stretch? Would obviously prefer to run the lower offset however.Comment

You can go the full 15mm spacer all around with 205/55s route and still not need to touch the fenders.Comment

Planning on HR Race/Billy combo soon. Do you know if 16x9 215/45 will clear in the rear with a fender roll? Possibly 225 to avoid stretching tires?Comment

I know it's been done! Who knows what size adapters to put behind a set of 17x9.5 sawblades. I do believe the 9.5's are et56 (correct me if I'm wrong). I want an aggressive fit, 42draft makes a 38mm adapter to 5x120.65 but will 38 mm's be enough for that phitment?Comment

Have to Make a decision and I am a noob..
I have a 1990is I am wondering if I should go with a 16x9 or 16x8 and depending On what is chosen what tire size? And will I need spacers? I also will be lowering the car with eibach sport springs and I will be using bilstien sports.. Thanks!Comment

Hey there, thanks in advance for your advice.
I have a 91 vert, stock sport suspension springs and koni adjustable yellows. I do not want to roll fenders. Not a lot of drop in my set up as intended. I would like to run APEX ARC-8s with the most comfortable tire available ie high side wall. From research 215/40R17 would work no problem, but that is a thin tire. I also have read 235/40R17 is possible with no modification. Can I go for a bigger sidewall? or possibly wider with the same ratio?
What are your suggestions for a comfortable tire size with no modification to fenders. Also if I am way off in what makes a comfortable tire correct me. :) "Meatiness" of the tire will help fill out the wheel wells to compensate for me not wanting to drop the car.
Thanks again for all your help!
Edit: I am not opposed to small spacers if necessary. Also need to clarify "comfortable ride"; I do not expect my e30 vert to be an air ride Cadillac, but I have tailored my suspension to be as noise free and solid as possible. It is a vert not a race car, so it is meant for spirited driving around some twisties but I get annoyed with rattles and road noise.Last edited by pilot_anderson; 01-06-2016, 09:19 AM.02/1992 E30 Cabrio

Mystikal,
I have the option of running two different set of wheels. One is a set of 16x7.5 et -4, and the other is a set of 16x8.5 et 8. I'd imagine that the et-4 set seems silly, but could it actually work? (Those set of wheels are a better deal for me)
If I wanted to run the et 8 set, what do I need to get it on? I'm assuming 205/50 is too tall. Is 205/45 ideal or is there a different size I should run? Does the fender require any rolling to make this second set fit?
H&R sports with bilstein sports
Appreciate it!Comment

215s with an offset between 17 and 30. 225s with an offset between 24 and 30. If it doesn't fall within those ranges, it won't work well.Comment

Square? +8 is what you'll need a maximum to clear the fronts, so you're looking at the 50mm range of adapters.Comment

Either one can work if the offset and tire size is right.Comment
