    - BBS rims
    - AFM

Anything you all want me to grab?
Headers. I can see they're long tubes from your photos. The back box may be a Hartge unit as well. As I said before, look over the head for a Hartge stamp. If it has one it might be worth taking too.

also if the dash has been covered it might be crack-free!

cluster is worth a few beans if you can get it out. mtech 1 steering wheel is, too, but removing it without the key can be a challenge. Feel under the bumpers for a magnet box with a spare key, or ask the yard if they got one with it.

Take everything you can. I would have loved to come across this. On the east coast you never see this.
        Those seats are nice.

So this is a 1986 325es. I opened the ECU and didn’t see a Hartge chip. I want to convert my automatic e30 to manual. Will this manual trans work in my car or does the early 325e vs late 325i differentiator prevent the swap? Will the AFM from this car fit on mine?

My friend and I are going back on Sunday to see if it has an LSD and to check if the engine is Hartge customized as well as the steering wheel. The dang nut is HUGE and we couldn’t bolt it.

            I did grab:
            - the valance w/fogs
            - ECU
            - AFM
            - random dash switches all in good condition
            - center console w/OBC
            - strut brace
            - wheels
            - hartge valve cover
            - entire interior (dash was trashed) but the seats front and back and the door cards are in what appear to be almost perfect not one rip or tear. Just a little staining that can be cleaned up.
            - new leather shift boot
            - 5 speed shift knob also new
            - emergency brake tray w/cassette holder

This car was definitely taken care of as even all the buttons weren’t faded. Just wild that this ended up in a junk yard. It’s so well loved that I get the feeling the owner died. Can’t think of any other reason why they would get rid of it.

I plan on selling all this stuff and need to research this weekend what to price everything at. If y’all have any insight into what each item is worth, please feel free to share!

            thank you!

Nice find. Very strange to see these days. 2.93LSD is what it should have unless swapped. Grab the tweeters and rear Spoiler as well.

Take everything for your trans swap. Should have the Aluminum shift console. The trans probably has a big output flange so you will need the guibo and driveshaft but you will have to change to the later style center support bearing.

Is there a way to tell if this is the rare Hartge H27? The strut brace has a hartge sticker and the tach goes to 7k even though it’s an eta… and it does have a LSD.

can I provide the vin to find out?

                        Holy shit, what a find!

QUOTE=varg;n10097577]Yeah junkyards around here don't let you to take the whole car either, I asked them about that once upon a time. They're also officially "destroyed" when they hit the junkyard. From what I've seen lately these days when an E30 hits the junkyards around here all that's left is an incomplete floor pan and a firewall by the time people are done with it. It's insane that that intact car is in a junkyard, the person truly did not know what they had, those fairly nice sport seats alone would fetch more than any junkyard will pay you for a car these days and they probably could have put it online for a couple grand running or not and had it gone in a couple of days.[/QUOTE]

One popped up in PDX a couple months ago. I couldn't get there till ~2days later and it was almost completely stripped.

Any experience shipping items like these? What’s the best method?

The largest items you have are also probably the most desirable. If you don't live in the boonies, I'm sure you can sell those locally. The other things will probably fit in one of the flat rate boxes at USPS, which means you don't have to calculate shipping for every single inquiry.

full hartge cars usually came with a plaque in the engine bay and sometimes on the dash identifying it. doesn't mean it is not a hartge engine if missing though, just a good indicator. the vin identifies the car as a US e, so likely not full hartge. if it has been built as a clone or tribute it may have had other engine work to back it up. i'd find out as much as i could. a simple header and valve cover on an e does not do much.

no, records aren’t kept for aftermarket h27 conversions and this isn’t a factory one. Look for a head stamp. Headers and valve cover aren’t worth putting on a basic eta, so it’s at least probably an i engine.
