I just came up with a better answer than C6:
Evo MR, and the difference to $50K would go towards Gumball 3000 fees.
I wouldn't mind looking at one of those everyday if I got to race across the country and party for a week, too.

Is this going to be introduced to US? I thought this was a UK/Japan market car?

We get the "MR" with the 6spd and adjustable diff. All new Evo's get a new turbo for a little more torque. We just don't get the 340hp version.

Imola/Imola E46 M3 with HID's is $49,795, pretty much my ideal right there.

An Elise would be a close second, I doubt I could live with the thing everyday though.

A few maintenance bills I've seen for Evo's and STi's scares me off those.

Well, since it IS hypothetical, and it would hypothetically be MY money, I would buy a low mile 1988 Porsche 911 Turbo, guards red of course, and with the balance I would buy a late model Jeep Wrangler Sahara TJ.

Read the thread, 2004-2005 models only. And one car only.

                I would buy a G35 Coupe 6 speed. I think they are insanely sexy, on a scale of 1 to 10, the G35 coupe would be a 10 and then E46 non-M's a 5, E46 M3 a 6.

                RISING EDGE

Let's drive fast and have fun.

Stock, they sound pretty sick. I always know when one is driving/about to drive by. Can't wait for the 295-300hp version to come out.

Read my reply.....since it IS hypothetical I can and WILL buy whatever car I damn well please. I am not telling you how to spend YOUR money. And if NOT playing by the rules means I don't get any money, well then I will drive my 90 325is. :D

                        S60r would be nice.
                        or
VW passat diesel wagon loaded with a 5spd.

Lotus Elise. Period. Awsome track rat and it looks amazing.

That or the Mazdaspeed MX-5. It's light and it's turbo.

Add all the optionals for a good daily driver. The rest can be spent in tires. Perfect drift machine.

The SRT-10 is a heap of shit. I drove when when I was looking at SRT-4's a few months ago. As for passing E46 M3's at the track........ yeah right.

                            Someone can't follow directions.

                            As for my choice?

500 hp, 525 ft/lbs. Fed through a 6 speed box to a live axle. $45k. Obliterate e46 M3's on the track and still have space for track tires and tools.

                            You know you want one.

I'd probably get an s2000 and turbo it. Maybe a G35 though since its a little more practical.
