The choice of car (probably for everyone here) will depend on whether you get to keep the change, if you get to spend money on mods. You only mentioned that you can't buy more than one car.

My solution therefore is, but a civic (then sell it), keep the change. And buy somethign that I actually like combined with my own money :D
You're missing the point of this thread. The idea is very simple. What 2004-05 model year car would you by for yourself if you were given $50k? The point is put yourself in the state of mind of wanting to buy a $50k (or near it) car, then you can really have some fun with it. So what car would you go for the gusto on if given the chance? :D

      Thank you.

It was a very simple question.

Although I am less than thrilled about the styling, I have to agree with a bunch of you and pick the C6. Preferably a no-option Z06 if it squeaked under $50K, but that probably wouldn't happen. At least not in its initial year (dealer mark-up is the devil). So then I'd have to go with a fully loaded base C6. You can't get a better/faster/cooler/more nimble car for that kind of dough.

I suppose a $35K Evo MR with $15K in mods would be wicked fun, but I would still feel like a fool driving around in one. They just look too goofy. They need a two-door version, like the older STi's.

                          yup...4000 hp/400 lb-ft of torque LS2 motor strapped to a 6 speed manual makes it a nice little car as well. 18" x 8.5" front, 19" x 10.0" rear :D
