Probably a year maybe 2 before Ronal pulled out of the US market. Gary used to say Group Buy time last chance to buy them...about every 6 months and most of us got tired of hearing it.

Then, they did it it was very anti climatic. Still can get them in Europe fairly easy.

I think you got good deal. Mine came from the motherland too w/o tires and with a set of eurogrills for $600 from a member here but those look great...especially with tires. Get the car off jackstands and your golden.

how'd you clean them?

With a wash mit and car soap. I started using cotton swabs for all the grooves except that was stupid so I got out an old tooth brush. Much faster.

have you bought them from a private person? i'm just wondering because he ships packages which are more than 20kg. Normally thats not possible for a private person via DHL.

Definitely. I spent over 2 hours cleaning them. They still have some small specks of brake dust on them, but from a step back they almost look new. What's the best way to remove hard-stuck brake dust?

2 hours? damn. I used a center punch (like a metal pencil) covered in a tee shirt/cloth, soaked in soapy water. It will let you get into all of the crevices with enough force to clean it out without scratching the paint.

to be fair, those are in pretty good shape. I paid like $500 originally for mine, we did a big pallet of crap from the UK (was a huge disaster), and they looked like they had been at the bottom of a river for 20 years.

If I ordered them from the dealer I'd be paying almost 2000 for them according to this thread on another forum http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum...php?p=16977391, plus another few hundred for caps and 4-500 for decent tires. So, whatever anyone thinks, I think I still got a good deal. I know I could have probably got some cheaper but they may or may not have had tires or center caps and they would probably have had curb rash and be in need of refinishing. Besides, it was the shipping that was expensive. The seller in Germany didn't get much for them. But that doesn't matter now. What matters is that I have authentic BBS euroweaves on my car now that were driven on the actual autobahn. ;)

Here's some pix of them cleaned up and on the car. Yes, I know it still needs a drop. That's next. :)

















To finish off the set I'm going to use this nice euroweave I got from Canada (from a member on this forum) a while back as my spare.

this kills me. if they were available at the dealership in the US then they aren't EURO weaves, They are simply 15x7 basketweaves with a lower offset. Now a euro plate filler is an understandable euro part because they weren't available here until the demand came up for the european over the US style plate fillers. And dont think I'm picking on you ColdAccord, I give my friends shit for saying it too.

$700 dollars for those is way too much. Should have held out for a set to pop up in the states, Clean wheels none the less.
