What's the Deal with E36 vs E30 window switches?

e36 switches are a smoother functioning unit. Pretty much it. no sticky push down buttons. its more like a 3way toggle.

they also have auto roll down. you push once and the window will roll down all the way without having to hold the button

FYI this doesn't work on e30s if you swap e36 switches in. It's done by a control unit in the e36.

There is a module that Luke installs on his customer cars...not sure what it is though.

Eh, you could do it with an H-bridge. I looked at it briefly some time ago, I believe George did as well, and concluded that there isn't money in it for the costs involved. Is there actual interest?

You may be able to retrofit the e36 window control module. I'll check into that.
