These cars can be hard to work on, but this looks like a fair deal - on the surface anyway.

1986.5 best of original body style and the upgraded suspension and motor. Good shape. Timing Belt done 3yrs ago . Mass air flow meter recently recalibrated. Been off the road for a little while so some small things need attention. Brake rotors need cutting, tune up, drivers window regulator motor and windshield is cracked. Won't take too much to turn back into a good driver's car.

Yeah and they’re great cars, just not what I’m after exactly. Obviously I’d never pay that much for a non M e36. Was more just curious what it’s actually worth.

I am considering e36s in my search for a daily. I like the car. Clean one owner, low miles but I can't even justify looking at that price. I'm kinda curious what you guys would pay or what they're going for these days?

Holy crap! That is a gem and seems inexpensive. Somebody needs to buy it and clean it up.

It’s on FB Marketplace in Union, NJ. Item # is 181536477283972

That is strange. Looks to be in pretty good shape and there's a video of the engine idling. It'll probably still sell for stupid $$.

One too many 0's in the price. There's a butt for every seat, I guess.

Vintage 1957 VW “SHORTY” Split-Window Hot Rod Pick Up / Bus

I have owned SHORTY for 10 years and is well known as “GENERAL SHORTY” in the Steilacoom July 4th Parade, Griot’s Garage and numerous other Car Shows.

SHORTY was shortened and sprayed with Line X bed liner when I got it from Georgia.

Shortened 4 feet for sharp turns, easy parking and a “wheelie” good time! Has a 51” wheelbase. Turns on a dime and gets 9 cents change! Driving it is a BLAST!

1600cc single down draft carb engine runs good… always starts right up and paired with a 4 speed transmission.

WILWOOD Disc Brakes in front and original parking brake. Great sounds and rolling art!

Looking for that new owner that will appreciate it and continue the legend!

Interesting colors choices. Tan MTech wheel bends my brain a little.
