BMW 325i Convertible with about 88,000 miles. Runs great. New steering rack just installed. New cloth convertible top 3 years ago. Just changed oil with Mobile 1. Body is very solid except spot in front of driver’s door. There are some small dings and the hood paint is very bad however I bought it this way 5 years ago and we get lots of attention with it. We only drive it in the summer. Interior is nice except for the tear on top of back seat (see photo). $3,900 OBO.

"Euro engine" huh? Did know Europe got a different M20. This one looks like it has gotten a lot of love over the past 30 yrs.

    1976 BMW 3.0 Si - $4,000

Selling my 1976 BMW 4 door 3.0 Si. It has a 3 liter inline six M30 engine and a 4 speed manual transmission. The car is very solid but is in need of restoration. It was drivable when parked several years ago but runs very rough now and is not drivable. I have more parts for it than I can even begin to list; engines, transmissions, rear ends, fenders, doors, wheels, etc. and am willing to take $5,000 for everything.

The NADA low retail for this car is $6,225, average retail $13,100 and high retail $20,500. I think this shows the potential for value and return on investment for doing a restoration. I had intended to do just that but unfortunately my life plans have changed.

I’m willing to negotiate and would really like to sell everything as I’m currently renting storage units to keep parts in. I also have a 1976 2002 rolling birdcage, also with a ton of parts, that I’d like to sell. The ideal buyer would want everything and I would certainly be willing to come up with an attractive price.

Any questions or additional picture requests, ask away.

Clean titled 1985 Lapis blue over Pearl beige 528e 5 speed manual with 220k on the odometer.

A rare lapis! my favorite BMW shade of blue that's pretty much impossible to find. Shame to see it so rusted.
Love lapis, but that's a rustbucket and not worth saving from the looks of it.

I think we can count on pretty much any rwd manual transmission car to follow a steady upward trend in value. Supply and demand. BMW makes like two cars with manuals these days, there's the mazda miata, the toyota/subaru thing, and nissan should be dropping a new z car soon, and I think that's pretty much it for the new market besides $100k Porsches. Anything used I find that is listed for a good price is often sold the day it's listed. I recently called on a cheap e36 within a few hours of the listing being posted and was about to make the two hour drive to get it when the seller called me up and says he had people offering him more for what he was asking...

3D printing won't have any bearing on the value of a collector's car. You're not going to be able to 3D print sheet metal, you might be able to 3D print some tooling such as dies but that really won't make production of reproduction parts cheap. Recession/depression though, that can decimate the value of something that is bought purely with disposable income because it's a toy. I'm just hoping the recession is short, here I am graduating into it
