How else will our E30s gain value without the M3 going to six figures... I have a dream one day Bronzit will be worth something.
Other than as an investment there is no reason to buy a US M3 today over a sorted swapped E30 coupe at this point. Not saying I don't enjoy driving an M3, but I couldn't enjoy owning one considering the cost.

Case in point (paint color aside), and you could have 8-10 for the price of one M3:

Wow. Makes me rethink my asking price for the vert. Mmm.

Wasn't this on BAT/ebay earlier this year? I feel like i've seen it at least twice.

I do remember seeing a blue S52 swapped car on BAT but it had satin paint/a wrap so it wasn't the same.

No this car wasnt, the car your referencing was supercharged and was for sale on Los Angeles Craigslist for 20k or something like that.

                On-topic:

Is this what an $8,000 E30 looks like today? 180,000mi+, comfort seats, automatic transmission...
Just a year and a half ago 8K would get you a well sorted late model 'iS' coupe with manual.

                My how times change.

That's not really how this thread works, unless you want to post the original ad.

And in the ad he has it described as 4 cylinder.

Well, yes, that's worse than a spray-painted gold tow hook... and the 4 cylinder thing is weird, and the horible faux M badge, and so on... but $2,500 for a Euro valence 325es?

                          I'm a little fascinated.

Those are early us spec metal bumpers. I don't see the euro valance.
