What we need to do is start investing heavily in nuclear fusion power so we can develop a clean source of electricity. you're going electric - hydrogen - electric again. every time you change you lose efficiency, it's far better to stay all electric.
hydrogen is totally pointless.

Most of the world lives in cities. Electric cars make the most sense for those who live in cities and drive a short distances obviously. The problem here, and I'm sure every big city, is that are people stacked up on top of each other and park on the street. Most don't have garage parking and a lot of times end up parking blocks away to get spots. Whats your charging solution? The cost to build an infrastructure with 240v chargers on every street is unimaginable. Hydrogen stations (especially if they were converted gas stations) makes more sense and will keep things familiar. Its not a perfect solution, but again is there anything better?I want a nice set of smoked MHW's (I know, get it line)

Most of these cars will never leave California.
But it's not practical, nor is it cost- effective.
BURNING hydrogen is dorky- it's an absurd Rube- Goldberg way to go back to internal combustion(Sorry, BMW, but it is)
Fuel Cell cars are a step forward- but getting the amps out is still proving difficult.
I think 3 E30s are called for in my family- one with an S52 for fun and long trips,
one with a cage to race,
and one with an electric motor and batteries to commute the 7 miles each way to
work in stop- and- go traffic,
so that the S52 wouldn't be wasted!
Yeah, an electric as a first car in our mass- transit- poor country doesn't work for most people.
But then, it's about personal choice.
Please, sir, may I have a Tesla?
tnow, sometimes I just mess with people. It's more entertaining that way. george graves
