i remember two years ago a friend of mine had a black e30 vert with a m50 swap, coilovers, wheels, minty fresh interior, rust free, new top, ect.
needed a few small things to make it top notch, but it was loaded up with a dream of parts.
r3v said it was worth about 5k on a good day, he sold it for 4700.
that same car, same condition, and all would likely fetch 6500 in todays market. kinda crazy how it jumped in two years

I swapped a 2005 s60 Volvo for my mine, which means that I effectively paid about $11k for a neglected but sound '89 vert, but:
1. moron DMV workers in MD wouldn't accept VA paperwork for an inherited car (the Volvo) {insert looong f'ing rant here}
2. I swapped it with my mother in law's e30 and she needs a car with airbags (sorry NJ)
3. I rescued it before it she neglected it into a parts car
4. Most importantly, I no longer have to drive a non-turbo s60 - the Buick of Europe.astiv43

Yeah there's still a lot of e30s but most are well thrashed, so the real taken care of examples are fetching a premium. The rest are just fishing for the highest bidder. They are probably selling for well below asking price so not all of them are selling for top dollar.Last edited by reelizmpro; 10-05-2012, 08:19 PM."I'd probably take the E30 M3 in this case just because I love that little car, and how tanky that inline 6 is." - thecj
