The one in my car was not made by me, some local dude was making and selling them for a bit. I'll quote a friend of his from our local forum who was there when one was made.

Mine is glued into the console, not press fit. I have never had a drink that interfers with my driving, this is true for all my e30's. I've had this console with a z4 3.0, z3 1.9, stock e30, and my current x5 shift lever and none of them have ever put my arms in a position that they hit the drinks as everything in these holders sits low enough to be well below your elbows

Any chance you can get a part number or a upc for that cup holder to get comparable "specs"?

The natural cupholder in an e30 is your significant other. For many it seems on r3v, that would be another man.....

I've seen e36 armrests with cupholders modified into e30s. It looked pretty good.

Those things that go in the map pocket are garbage. Leave your drink in there and shut the door. BAM!

Or getting out you'll always hit it with your foot. BAM!

I like a Husco...until I was auto-xing and nailed my funny bone on it, breaking it and fucking up my driving the rest of the day.

Passengers don't always work as sometimes they put their drink between their legs and squeeze too hard and the cup bursts as you're leaving Chick Fil A on the way to the Vintage.....yeah.

I just use a bottle, or no drink at all.

I think I would probably crash from laughter if I saw someone driving like this.

inb4 jaywood posts up a cupholder he will design/make to blow our minds.

the 3inch tube fitted in the e-brake console looks pretty good.
