What incident?

In the evening following the Chinese Grand Prix, Sutil was involved in an incident with Genii Capital CEO and owner of the Lotus F1 team Eric Lux in a nightclub in Shanghai, where he cut Lux in the neck with a champagne glass Sutil himself had broken. On 16 May 2011, Lux announced that he had filed a criminal complaint for physical assault and grievous bodily harm against Sutil. Force India owner Vijay Mallya backed up Sutil, saying that everyone need not be presumptive about the incident. He also refused to take action against Sutil until the case proceeded further. Sutil himself apologised for the incident, which he described as unintentional. On 13 January 2012, German prosecutors announced that Sutil would stand trial over the incident, charged with assault occasioning grievous bodily harm. Sutil was convicted of the charge on 31 January 2012, for which he received an 18-month suspended prison sentence and was given a €200,000 fine, to be donated to charity.

RBR typically likes to bring in new talent, look how well it worked for Vettel. I'd guess either a driver from STR or a GP2 star. I'd like to see Alexander Rossi get a shot, and that would be good PR for Red Bull since F1 has been trying to gain a foothold in the US.

I don't think RBR wants to have another championship contender in the stable. I think that they want to have a support driver who can consistantly score decent points and then pour all the best resources into Vettel. I am a Vettel fan but I am also realistic.

I think if Grosjean got the boot and Lotus got a driver better able to help develop the chassis, Raikkonen has a chance at a championship with Lotus. Red Bull has shown they're not always going to give each driver a sporting chance, so if he wants a championship he needs to stick with a team where he's the top driver. That way his championship wishes and the team's constructor wishes align. With current tires being what they are, two top drivers fighting each other for the win EVERY weekend does not bode well for a team winning the championship. There would be no more "get both cars out front then cruise 'til the end."

That's part of why I think Kimi would wait towards the end of the season is he has to sort out whether or not Lotus or Red Bull would give him the best chance at a championship. I would like to see Him stay at Lotus BUT depending on how the rest of the season turns out he may jump ship for a more competitive chassis and come to blows with Vettel.

I dunno. After the nightclub incident, I can't respect Sutil. I just view him as a thug with enough money to keep playing.

I really like what I've seen from Sutil this season. It would be cool to see him in a very competitive chassis but at teh same time I'd be afraid that he wouldn't get to develop his potential as much as he should being #2 at RBR. As long as Seb is there and Horner et al. have final say in daily runnings of the team, Seb is in charge.

But would Iceman move to red bull? It is a competitive chassis and he wants another championship. I think Kimi's decision would be weighted by how he finishes this season out...I don't think the toro rosso drivers are good enough for a better chassis. I wouldn't mind seeing sutil or another driver from the back get a go at it.
