Am I the only person that fucking hates opening these threads and seeing the stupid low rates people from other parts of the country pay.

I too have USAA and thank god I do. I had a house fire a couple months ago and they have been awesome and more than generous, not questioning a thing on the stated values of the personal property. The restoration contractor said USAA is the absolute best to work with in their experience with Allstate and Nationwide being the worst. He said State Farm was the next best but a very distant second compared to USAA. FYI to anyone owning a house.

$75 for both e30s. Cabrio with full coverage, and liability on 318is. Through progressive

I looked into Hagerty in the past and they require a NEWer vehicle as a DD in order to cover your e30. THats redic, so I cant claim 318 as DD.

I just talked to a Hagerty rep on the phone and he said I didn't qualify cause we only have one DD. When I asked him why it mattered, he said since we have two drivers, the DD could be in use by one of us and the E30 could possibly be used to run an errand, etc. I told him my wife doesn't drive the E30 (not allowed ;)) takes the train to/from work and I work from home, so neither of us uses a car daily. Doesn't matter.

I called back and spoke to another rep and he verified this and said they've recently changed their qualifying conditions.

So if you're married, have a girlfriend, etc., you need to own THREE cars to qualify for Hagerty coverage.

I pay $215/month for my 91 316i(insured as 318i). I'm with Desjardins. Lowest quote that I could find is $155 from TD which I will switch in next year.

I'm paying a little over 200 per month for liability on my E28. When the E30 was insured I was paying 183. To have both cars insured under the same policy the number doubled. Bullshit.

I also don't have the greatest driving record... but two more years and my rates should drop dramatically (tickets clear after 5yrs).
