looking into getting historic plates for my 87 and according to the application the car must be up to original manufactures specs. wtf?!

Here in Maryland it can't be extensively modified. However in my experience, no one cares.

In WI, I have to take pictures of the whole car, sides, front, rear, and engine to submit along with the application. If it is not original then forget about the classic plate.

Here in Germany it has to be modifications from within 10 years of the car being new (tuning that is also oldschool). They are VERY strict about it over here too!

I don't think they care that much. My dad's classic is modified (but not obviously) and I don't think they said anything. I've also seen obviously modified classics with historic tags.

this. Its currently stock so I feel like I could just mod it after I get the tags. plus I only really plan on doing wheels and suspension stuff to this one so it wont come off as that modified.
