Fifth gear says e30 are On the rise

I was watching fifth gear on velocity and they did a segment about cars that will appreciate in value quite a bit in the next 5 years.

One of the vehicles was the BMW e30 they said currently it is 4,000 pounds for a good one and within five years prices could be 15,000 pounds


Makes me feel good about having the e30 around

Well with the current rate of people r3ving their e30's. I don't doubt it. Although 15,000 pounds is around 23,000 dollars. I doubt a regular e30 will ever see those digits, not anytime soon atleast.

Which is why I question why people are parting out perfectly fine, rust free chassis when soon they are going to be worth more in one piece.

received a deposit on my e36m3/4/5 and realized that too will likely begin appreciating in value soon



edit: got an e39m5 to replace it already though. That way I can avoid swapping an s54 into an e30m3 shell, s14 is plenty if I have another car with 400hp

I just watched that.

It was an early euro vert, estimated to sell for 15k euros in 5 years. That's cool, but makes me sad because I'm a poor college student who'd like to own multiple e30s in the future.

I was offered a 325ix 5 speed touring as a trade for my m3, 126k miles. Needed front body panels aligned and sprayed though, and for that kind of money I'd rather just keep the e39m5. Was tough to turn it down though, needed a few patches in the floors and wheel wells but looked good otherwise

Keep in mind there are less E30s in Fifth Gear land than in the US.
