Gen 2 Integra (90-93). Great on gas, insurance, double wishbone, comfy seats, nice features/options. Slap some decent aftermarket shocks on it and enjoy it. Should get that type of fuel economy easily and is fun to toss around. The hatch can hold a ton of gear, so it's practical, too.

unfortunately we dont get the GTD here, but a 1.6TD is a good choice. less stuff to deal with when it comes to maintenance (no ignition system) and once you start modifying a turbo diesel it really isnt that slow.

that said, buy another set of wheels and tires and DD the E30

Perhaps they didn't sell many(or any) in Canada? They're real common down here, the hard part is finding one that wasn't neglected or riced out.

Always forget about Sciroccos, that's a good one.

I used to drive an early 80's jetta diesel and did
a test to see how may MPG it got and from empty tank
to 1gal, then empty tank again I got 48mpg with the fuel screw turned up.

If left stock It would of gone 50 at least.
1.5L I think and so light me and anther person could lift the rear-end chest high by the wheel arches.

hahaha it's definitely not stock, but it requires a lot of engine off coasting, and some body panel mods.
