A ticket for what, exactly? As far as I know, no law around here sets a weight limit on your roof rack loads. The front and rear didn't extend past the edges of the car, so I didn't even need a red flag/ribbon/tape.
For what it's worth, I drove carefully and I took the corners slowly. The 2X4s were tightly and securely fastened. Sure, this is the upper limit of how much I'd want to carry up there, but driving 2.5 miles with this cargo strapped down securely is hardly unsafe.Comment
