Get tons of auto trader or any published used car prices of same mileage and everything in your area. No craigslist or eBay. They will have to go off that by some margin. E30s where I live were under $2500 but I had 150k I got lucky and listed with receipts every damn part I bought for it. Worth a try. Do not budge either, it took me 4 months and the OP insurance finally gave up and played me and 4 months worth of having a rental if I had used one and the car back.

Damage does not look too bad. Ive fixed my e30 2 times already and still hold a clean title. It was fixed at a body shop ofcourse. I fixed it, eventhough people told me it couldnt be fixed. Ill post a pic when i get home.

My mechanic took a look at some more detailed photos I took today and said it didn't really look that bad and that he didn't believe there would be frame damage and likely was just body work and a control arm and some other small things. Still waiting to hear about insurance.

I must not be seeing this correctly?

this car is 100% than the rusty shit available around here, I would fix that and put it back on the road in a heartbeat.

obviously a lot of guys here aren't into Muscle cars, or older European stuff where repairing/replacing QP's is just something you do, not worry about.

*edit* meh, just saw the daylight pics...that is a solid hit...I might still fix it though.

fight it for awhile. They will see they are just going to lose money to time if they don't agree and will give you your money. like above 4-6 months and they give up.

Buy a rust-free shell, transfer the parts over.

Thats way more work than replacing a fender, not to mention cheap shells with no rust are getting hard to find. Probably because people part them out if somebody stares too hard.

This is a shot of my driver's rear door and fender:

My car isn't totaled or salvaged; heck, according to Autocheck it hasn't even been in any accidents! ;) Unless you're really set on parting it out or can't stand the aesthetic issue, just keep driving it!

                          It's asinine.

I wish I could keep driving it, but the wheel is mega tweaked, so it's not driveable as is right now.
