      No problem. I'll run it on laguna Seca for lap times; a stock r35 gtr does about 1:50 with decent driver; so does a stock e36m.

        now you're talking nonsense. so an M30 makes 265bhp now? huh? or did you mean it makes ~50whp more? because that's the honest truth.

        it's a cool engine, I get that. and it's cheap. but jeeze. it's not like you can't make ~200hp/200ft/lbs out of basically any BMW inline 6. I'm pretty sure a 3.5l 6 cylinder is not gods gift to low end torque..

        also, the S54 is heavier than either the M30 or S52, so I'm not really sure where you're going with that comment. Also, S38 > any M30. :p

            We have a FULL S50 swap for $4500... Pretty sweet deal. There are a few odds and ends that you'd need but this is as complete as it gets.

                    He just asked about the engine. 5sps are easy to come by, anything from ~1985+ that was M30 powered. I'd rather have an engine from an auto trans car though. Less likely to be beat on. Hence the 735, e32, option.
