    Most overlooked e30 repair

    I nominate the hood shock or that stupid little "T" for the washer fluid inside the hood.

      It really does confuse me when I see people holding up their hood with a 2x4.

      I mean shit, the GOOD hood strut (Stabilus) is $15.

      Hood ground straps though, I've never reconnected one of those on any E30... Ever.

        since most owners dont even know they exist and I rarely see an e30 that doesnt need them replaced...Ill say wiper dampers

          You don't realise how worn out yours is until you get a new one and the hood shoots forward. Also it is nice to know the hood isn't going to fall on your head on a windy day. Not saying that happened to me or anything. :roll:

            Not exactly a "repair" but there aren't many e30's out there that couldn't use a smoke test.

              Rear shock mounts. Look good visually, but all pulled apart actually.

                Control arms or the transmission shifter bushings and that gear selector bushing.

                              Ok, I'll bite. What is a wiper damper?

                              Edit: Looked it up on real OEM. Looks like a rubber bushing for the arm pivots?
