An m4 tried me the other week coming home from a bmw meet on a two lane road.
I was in my turbo car, he was riding my ass, when he made his move i waited till he got next to me and punched it, it was like he was in reverse..lol.
After that he stayed back a good distance, schooled his fag ass.

The amount of ass hats on I90 going towards Rochester is staggering! Some dick in an e90 330 would not stop passing me then slowing down over and over again because I ignored his non-stop desire to race me...little did he know that a 2,340lbs car with 30 less HP will fuck his shit up :) New does not mean faster, glad his GF could witness his loss.

Classic example of generation dependent on electronic aids. Anyone who grew up driving rwd with no traction control would have counter steered and kept the rolling burnout going.

Instead what does he do? Chops the throttle, shifting weight forward, offloading rear tires which already have reduced grip making things even worse.

There's something to be said for driving a ~170 hp car that takes a while to come on cam on 205-225 street rubber that gets squirrely and reigning it back in, there's another thing for a car with 425 hp, 406 ft/lbs of torque that comes on way down low riding on 275 width hi po street tires on 18 inch wheels with a suspension designed around electronic aides. You're going to get a lot more warning and wiggle room with the former over the latter.

Not excusing the behavior, but you don't get nearly the leeway driving a modern car on sticky rubber than you would with an older, lower hp vehicle. It's a whole lot harder to "finesse" that.

Why do you assume i was talking about e30s only.

My daily driver when i was in early 20s was a 300whp 5.0 mustang. The suspension on those things is utter shit and the car is basically trying to kill you anytime you try to have fun.

Todays cars are timid comprated to anything the 90s and earlier came out.

All my BMWs telegraphed miles in advance what the chassis was about to do. Going from the 5.0 to my 540i was night and day in how it handled and it told you well in advance when it was reaching limits of traction, and when it did step out it was controlled.
