Pull a Liam Neeson and find it! Haha. I've been searching CL for it just in case. What would CL consider this part of NJ to be? South, Central, North?

Ocean county - south IMO. Some might say central.

Mini update: I've sent off my title request to the NJ DMV. Fingers crossed. Probably have to wait a while...you know...because government.

                            Guys:

The car hasn't been found. All we know is that it's registered to a person in NJ.

Due to the Rebecca Schaeffer incident, the DMV will not release any details concerning the owner of the car, or any address attached to any DMV paperwork. I'm fairly sure they won't even release a current license plate number.

So, what we need is for someone to start looking at all the VIN numbers of all e30's matching OP's description. Then I'll be thoroughly impressed!
Drive it hard. Maintain it well.

I was afraid they may not release certain details. I weighed the cost of this vs other reports and figured I would start here. Strangely enough, I found the details I know now through a private investigator that was able to find the previous owner. I spoke to him in mid-2014, but he didn't have much of an idea where the car went. Unfortunately the investigator wasn't able to see who owns the car now since it was registered in December of 2014, and I requested the info a few months earlier than that.

So in order to find the owner of a car you need to hire a private investigator? If you don't mind me asking, how much does that run?

Are you going to hire a PI again find the current owner?
