That is insane but the market is speaking. A few people bought these to race but many bought because they are a special limited edition. 100 miles??? 46 miles? wow. Pretty unbelievable that they could own an M3 without driving it. They must have an impressive collection to keep them occupied all these years. Still a shame though. I'm afraid the cars are now destined to be museum pieces. Since it's still based on the US spec E36 M3, I'm shocked it's going for that much even if it's a rare LTW with almost delivery miles. Does this mean the 94 325iS M Tech is worth good money now? Is that next?

Waits for Baby M3 reference..
Doesn't leave disappointed.
My buddy and I now have two M42 318i's, and I will admit they are fun to daily drive, but are truly gutless around town. Not that M3 is usable in traffic either, they both prefer to live life close to redline, but I wouldn't call it a "Baby M3." Maybe the M3's long distant cousin.
The 320iS is the real Baby M3.
That is unless we are going of racing pedigree, then it would be the 323i which did make a brief DTM appearance between the 528 and the M3.
People just want to label them a baby M3 to justify a higher cost. It'd be like calling every 325es a factory stroked version of the 325is.
I also got a chuckle out of the "Ultimate platform for an e30 build" comment. Because when you build an E30 it's easier to swap from an M42 vs M20 to anything? OK.1991 325i MT2 Touring (JDM bro)
