70-80k is a steal. I often see them in the 100k.

I've had a chance to drive a couple of Z4s....an '04 3.0 and a '07 3.0SI. The latter was a real hoot and the interior fit & finish seemed better than the earlier car. If I were in the market for one, I'd definitely go for an '06-'08 3.0SI (manual of course). Never sampled an M-variant of the Z4. I can only imagine what that must be like.

i remember seeing a couple z8's for around the 40-50k range several years ago. i remember thinking who the hell would pay that much for such a car?

its still hard for me to believe they are worth what they are today.

Funny thing is you can't really even drive them because the strut towers separate from the frame. I guess the car is so expensive now though that if that did happen it would be worth fixing anyway (like that Ferrari Enzo that got totally demolished, but was worth so much even in pieces they rebuilt it from scratch).

    Haha, If I had Z8 money, I wouldn't consider a Z8.

I'd buy a C6 Z06, finish my car, pay off student loans and save the other $50,000+.

I didn't think it was that drastic, but I was surprised when I found out how much the S54 weighs, it's a heavy sucker. I want to know what state the engines are in for all of the weights here: http://www.r3vlimited.com/board/showthread.php?t=233682 http://www.unixnerd.demon.co.uk/m20.html http://www.unixnerd.demon.co.uk/n52.html because I see people claiming the N52 is lighter than the M20, but there are figures conflicting with that and I haven't seen any "we weighed it fully dressed ourselves" weights for the N52 like I have for the M20.

I owned a 2007 z4 3.0si coupe with m suspension and it was an amazing car. Had all the options. Was basically the ///M without the engine. I would consider it to be a great sports car for the money. The 2nd gen z4 not so much.

There's one of those here, in that exact color combo, I've seen driving around. Just weird enough to be cool.
