    yadda yadda yadda not really

well im working on getting my ix regesterd.....

i took it to get E-checked....
they asked me front or rear wheel drive... and i said 4wd
they looked at me stupid and my friends lauged....

then they put it on their dyno wanna be bs thing... and the guy only pulled the rear wheels on it... and lowered the car... and was banging on the window like wtf... and he then started to pull back... but he coulndnt get it into Reverse. my knob showed they way. i guess he doesnt know what it ment. so after i showed him that he trys it in fwd. and i was like woah woah. then he gets the point. so he does the test and lucky it passes....

later on i try and check around for insurance.
progressive quoted me 200 bucks a month...
    thats for
    86 325e
    88 325ix

i pay about 950 every 6 months for an 89 325i and an 88 325. I also dont have the cleanest of Driving records. Progressive for me, the cheapest route, plus I have comp and higher coverages.

I pay $1000 a year for my '87 is and I live in New Jersey; the state with the highest insurance rates in the country (or damn near to it).

State Farm FTW. I have liability and collision becuase it is cheaper than just having liability.

mine is about the same, around 200 for 90 325is and 96 civic ex. But I'm 29...Mine is high because i have let my insurance lapse a few times like an idiot, that will rasie your rates alot.

From owning a few E30's and E46's at the same time, you would be suprised at how little the difference is between insuring them. Full coverage, 35 years old, and the E46 330i is only about $300 more a year. And that was a '90 325is at the time. My point is, E30 insurance is not as cheap as people would think.

So, I am trying to understand what you are saying about them putting your iX on a dyno-did they understand that doing so would do serious damage to the transfer case?

                        Talking about insurance.

$40 a month to drive a 1990 M3 in Germany. Liability only because if I crash it, I hope to die with it.

58.00 a month with GEICO! Only the 88'vert on that policy.Liability! Not so young of a kid anymore here, but I have one ticket on my record that makes the rate go up.

I live in MA, and our insurance rates are the highest in the country. I pay $190 a month for my 97 accored ex v6 and my record is clean (Knock on wood) I hope it won't be too much to insure my e30 and that car next spring when my e30 gets on the road.
