I kind of wished I did lifetime back in 1997 but I do five years at a time.

I was in the early 90's but let it go.. I only joined to get the Roundel and get info, buy/sell parts. The internet obviously changed everything.

qft, I have been doing 3 years for at least 5 cycles. Shoulda done lifetime in the 80's bet it was 500.00.

Former member here.....for about a dozen years. I didn't renew membership after selling my last E30, that was over 4 years ago. In all honesty, I really didn't utilize the benefits during that membership period and most Roundel mags I received just collected dust. I hope to be in another BMW someday but I doubt I'll become a BMWCCA member again.

When I joined there were regional CCAs, I belonged to L.A. and got the Whispring Bomb, the tiny comic book like magazine of the club.

I just signed up for 5 years under the e30 chapter. I'm not sure I'll see any benefits from it, but hopefully the e30 chapter can do some good with that money.

I use it for chapter stuff and I like it as a whole, It's not that bad dollar wise. I do like they have not made Roundel a strictly online periodical as I like to hold a magazine and you cant use wifi on my jet.

Just let my membership lapse! Never took advantage of any of the new car/dealership parts discounts and the meets just aren't my cup of tea..

Agreed. Was a member for about four years and let it go. It was nice getting all the Roundel magazines, though. Still have a big stack of 'em, and some from when my dad was a member years before I was.

The stickers make it go faster. :nice:

I let mine lapse a few years back. BMW Oregon CCA occasionally does an interesting group drive (one in particular that is extra fun), so I will have to renew my membership for that this year. I used to read the Roundel occasionally, but I've just got a giant stack of them at this point that just collect dust. Meh.

Thanks! Every little bit helps us grow the chapter as we continue to expand our national reach.

If anyone is considering (re)joining we'd certainly appreciate your consideration. Current members of regional CCA chapters can add us as a secondary chapter for only $15 a year.

I switched to E30CCA before I renewed & kept it at this 3 year renewal.

I hardly use any of the perks anymore but like having the Roundel & got a 30 year pin for free.
