    340i V8 E30 on Jalopnik

In the three decades it’s existed, the E30 BMW 3-Series went from yuppie mascot to irrelevant old coupe to bargain fun car to cult classic to the celebrated standard of practical performance that it is today. We’ve seen plenty of custom E30 builds, but nobody’s created an E30 V8 that really felt like it could have come out of the BMW factory. Until now.

This has to be someone here.

          That too.

I mean, I love the car, the OEM look and all to it....but really how does that thing hook up?

But again, I LOVE the OEM-ness to it.

            Nice

but between the lack of Bar and Nikasil, I'm out.

That being said, I love it including the wheels. One more thing that the next owner will update and not pay for upfront.

This E30 is being sold with a clean California title.
No mention of BAR anywhere, talk about deceptive.

                        Gotta love Jalopnik:

"Dietz chose this particular motor because it's period correct"...

ummmm nup - M60 was first produced in 92, after the end of e30 production (unless BMW were going to bring out a 340i e30 vert or touring - would have been a bit niche at the end of the production run).

In the comments section they crow on about how the M60 is lighter than an "the old iron lump" M20 up front.... ummmmm nup..... and more about "period correctness", which really is just the owner couldn't be assed doing anything about the bottle caps or brakes (hawk pads aren't exactly a massive upgrade).

I'm sure we could pick the article apart further.

I am a fan of the sleeper aspect of it though.

                          Right?

I love the car, just not the cloud of idiocy that is jalopnik commentators.

I like the sleeper theme........but for that engine Ida built it up a lil more......yet remain conservative

that exhaust looks a wee bit skinny????
I love sitting down and just driving!
