    Dyno Tomorrow

    Hey Guys,

Tomorrow I'm dynoing the 325 (stock M20 with a Jim Conforti chip) at Autowave in HB. Is there anything special I should do prior to the Dyno runs? Is there anything I should make sure the tech addresses beforehand?

I just changed the engine oil/filter and the air filter, BTW

    TIA,
    Mark

Clean air filter and make sure there is no air leaks.

Do you mean air leaks around the filter box / AFM or vacuum leaks?

Werd. I'm not looking for big numbers, just a solid baseline for shift points and torque curve. I'm expecting 140hp at the wheels.

I'll post the results for sure, but I don't own a video camera, although I may take the leap into the 1990's and buy one :D

                        Results

                        Here's the data:

                        147.3 HP @ 6200 RPM

                        148.0 Ftlb @ 4300 RPM

If BMW and Conforti's advertised numbers are correct, (167/177 HP and 164/177 Ftlb), then I am experiencing a 16.11% HP drivetrain loss.

Check out the AFR graph - what do you guys think? Lean?

Looks lean to me, especially in the upper RPM's.
