Well, BMW of North Scottsdale stocks M5s and Z4s, not E30 parts.

I thought palladium with a splash of osmium was used in them though.

My brother just bought a 89 325i and it needs a new muffler and both muffler bearings replaced. It's going to cost almost as much to replace everything as it did to buy the car! Right now the car sounds like a race car with straight outs.

You can always buy the cheaper ones made out of aluminum. They are lighter but don't last as long.

Call or email Patrick @ BMAParts.com he usually always has them in stock.

Yeah there was a group buy for muffler bearings a few months back, but lots of people dropped out because even with the GB, the bearings were $295 shipped.

Ok, sorry about the confusion. I will try to get pics today.

All I know is that my car sounds like a harley, and one of the pipes that connects the exhaust to the engine is no longer connected. Hopefully the pics will help.

def. sounds like right where you would break a muffler bearing.

I don't know why you guys are going to the dealer for muffler bearings! That is so retarted. All you have to do is buy them for a 89 mustang 5.0. They hook right up! Just ebay it as well. I have seen them go for under $100 in good shape.
That or just do the delete already. It takes a Saturday, I kid you not.

i dont really have problems with my muffler bearings, the previous owner lubed them up very nicely every few years. what i have a big problem with are those damn piston return springs. but that is just me.

fuck you and your muffler bearings man! After I went to the dealer to find out it was going to cost me like $600 for the parts alone, I just decided to take them out and replace them with rollerblade bearings. They're almost the same, but I had to drill a bigger hole and use JBweld to secure them. I have to replace them like every week though, because they aren't heat resistant like the real muffler bearings.

I just find lots of people like this:

Then knock them out and take their skates. Its like two month's supply.

FUCKING MUFFLER BEARINGS!!!1 They're even more expensive for my 540!!

I'm selling my bmws for a hondas.

I told you. Those ones on the bay are a pretty sweet deal though.

See when it's good to have an M10 ???

M10's have only ONE muffler bearing, and it's way cheaper, 56.95 from the dealer.

I had mine replaced when i replaced my head gasket. ;)
