The break is at the engine block. Do think that its a quick/cheap fix? Thanks again
Is the break right after the manifolds? Or what? The downpipes that are secured by 3 bolts+nuts each that go into the manifolds. I'm willing to bet thats where they aren't connected all the way. You'll be able to get one off someone in the classifieds worse case scenario. You might have just knocked it loose and need new nuts and bolts. Hard to tell that anything is wrong from those pictures.

Weird how your oil pan wasn't the thing that took the impact.

I bet it hit around the cat area and then just pulled the weak and rusted bolts off at the header to exhaust pipe junction.

If it makes you feel any better, they had me going too.. I mean I know that this couldn't have been on the muffler directly because I knew that the muffler and exhaust pipe came welded together as one piece. I figured that this "muffler bearing" must have been a part located anyhwere along the line from the head to the catalytic converter. You know.. to allow the shifting of the engine to prevent the exhaust from being bent.

I work at a shop and I live for that moment when I get to tell people that their exhaust bearings are toasted. Sadly it hasn't happened yet....

LMAO.. holy shit.. Did you really ask the dealer for muffler bearings? I figured you would have caught on after the blinker fluid comment.

This is almost as funny as the time I convinced my wife that she should try ordering the tube steak value meal at Hardees or that you have to change the air in your tires from winter air to summer air each season.

i usually just rotate the air in the tires each season, because in arizona, it dosent get cold enough to need winter air

Haha, no I didn't actually ask the dealer. I just realized what a dumba$$ I was.

I actually was going as slow as possible; just too many people in my car.

Pretty much whatever I did, just seemed to pull the down pipe out. My friends and I tried to see if we could manuevar it in, but we only got it closer.

That has to be changed whenever you replace a muffler bearing.
