I don't know about that. Alonso's admission to discussing the Ferrari design info and producing e-mails for the FIA sure didn't sit well with 'ol Ron - not to mention it didn't do RDs bank account any favors. For the last few races those two have been in a bit of their own cat fight. I will honestly be surprised if Ron keeps Alonso on board for 2008. On paper, Alonso may be contractually bound for more seasons with McLaren but no driver's contract is iron clad. Get good enough lawyers and watch them work their magic. If anything, it wouldn't surprise me that should Ron let go of Alonso, he will make the announcement as late as possible so as to limit Fred's options as to where he can go (usually by New Years' all the seat swapping is done for the next season).

At this point, I am 80% confident Fred will be going to another team for next year.

another incredible race that goes down in formula one history.

kimi clinching the title coming out of nowhere and hamilton making rookie mistakes and pushing way to hard in the begining and having a the car mess up on him during the race really bit him in the ass today. alonso was trying hard and had a nice pass in the begining there against his teamate and ferrari really displayed their skills putting two drivers in one and two and massas willingness to cooperate with the team and have kimi being able to get into p1 and take it home for the championship. great and fantastic displayed of coordinated team effort. kimi deserves this one and i was pleased with the results. now a new seasons is to be under the works with rumors of alonso and renault which i think or now official for a 3 year deal and mclaren getting back into it next year and bmw having a fantastic seasons this year finishing well this race and holding off the mclaren and passing when it counted. cant wait for them next seasons let alone f1.

Im in shock, i don know what to say. However its not over. Mclaren has filed a appeal with the FIA in regards to the legality of the BMW and Williams teams fuel. If deemed illegal then Lewis will win the championship.

Doubtful... This happened in 95 I believe and nothing was done, no points taken and no one was penalized. They really can't do anything because you can't suddenly decide to take points/finish away in 2007 but before you didn't... Ferrari will call foul and appeal again.

2nd off the rule is stupid. It was ~97 degrees outside with a track temp ~145... Maybe BMW and Williams tank was more in shade, Where do they take the ambient temp from? I guarantee you the temp in pit stall 1 is different than pit stall 5 and 9... It is a stupid rule but a rule none the less to enforce people from "cooling" the fuel which BMW and Williams were not doing.

I hate the crying I am reading everywhere... FIA did not "give" Ferrari the WDC and WCC. McLaren cheated and they gave the WCC to Ferrari. Hamilton GAVE AWAY his WDC by over driving at TWO RACES like a rookie would do. End of the story.

I read about this earlier today....and to be honest, I think Ron Dennis is just being a sore loser. Why can't he just lick his wounds (i.e. Stepney-gate and outrageous fine by the FIA) and just let it go. Ferrari beat them fair and square today.

Give it up McLaren - you got schooled properly. Now go build next years' car (minus the technical documents from Maranello)

Funny how all the rumors and this site and that has all this bullshit filler material and formula1.com has 4 news article a day and RARELY do they match up to anything the other sites show :)
