    well i know 400kph = 240mph

but I don't know wtf he is doing with that chart.

with a 4.10 diff, my car tops out at an indicated 140mph at 7000rpm in 5th gear with undersized wheel/tire combination

the important part is that my car is able to hit redline in 5th gear, as opposed to some 4cyl import cars that just runs out of steam and doesn't go any further in 5th gear.

2700 - 3100lbs sounds pretty damn heavy to me, especially when compared to other vehicles in current context.

that's really not heavy.. compared to say, a typical newer Audi, BMW, mercedes, ford.. hell, any newer car. may be an 80's civic is way lighter but I wouldn't really want to drive one of those..

The weight of the car itself does not necessarily make the cornering better. The weight helps keep the driver from being thrown around the drivers seat thus making it easier for him to keep the car in control. And yes.. its a relatively heavy car. Drive a ricer and then get back in your E30 and tell me if you notice the difference.

Yeah but this guy is looking to compare to other "imports".

              EK Hatchbacks are around 2230lbs
              AW11 MR2s are 2350lbs
              NA6 Miatas are 2116lbs
              FC RX-7s are 2500lbs
              Integras are at 2500lbs

even big bulky GC8 subarus weigh in at around 2670lbs.

My eta weighs 2680 w/ AC, power locks, power windows etc.. and that has a torquey I-6. All those cars you listed are 4 bangers with 150 or less hp... My turbo 325is with leather interior and sound system and power everything only weighs 2760...I am not seeing how that is heavy at all..

Please enlighten me more with your wisdom and knowledge on vehicle cornering dynamics...I have an autocross this sunday and YOU are my secret weapon!!!!!!

The reason why an E30 corners well is cause its HEAVY...of course! My next upgrade is gonna be 200 pounds of dumbell weight bolted to the floor. Pile in my car guys, we could probably fit up to 8, lets go kick some Honda ass!!

I pieced and installed everything. Made the 3in turbo back exhaust in my garage.. Only thing I didn't do was dyno tune it. Grebnut gets that credit.

I am well over 4k now, but I don't know a number for sure. Little things add up quickly.
