            Make sure it's dry when you store it.. Once it's dry spray some convertible spray on the canvass to make it water resistant (i think bavauto.com sells the stuff). Maybe take some mildew soap to clean whats on there now first?

                  I noticed this in my new 318is and assumed it was due to the suspension. I plan on replacing it all anyways but I'll have to give this a try for the time being.

                      on separating ball joints, most times a couple good hits where the 'shaft' passes though the spindle will release it. for stubborn ones placing another hammer on the spindle like a punch and hit on that. no one should own a pickle fork.

                            For the outer tie rod ends, you can use a copper hammer to hit on them... less chance of screwing up the threads.
