My 85 eta with a 3.25 LSD and a chip feels faster to 60 then my 325is, which also has a chip. I did 15.4 in the 325is and 16.3 in the eta. I enjoy driving the eta a lot more around town then the 325is. You don't have to redline it to go somewhere. But I'm a muscle car guy at heart...

I put a chipped eta and my chipped 325is dynos together, and it became obvious why it's not much slower. With equal gearing, it's even probably faster to 50-60mph.

Box at the bottom. The only way a 325e can keep up is with software AND a cam. Without it, not a chance.

hahaha, that 325e was slower WITH a chip. Ask anyone who chipped an eta with a good chip (myself included) and the improvement is HUGE. it's not slower, or equally quick, it's faster, by a lot (20+whp across a decent chunk of the powerband). Which voids the rest of the chart.
However, if you'd like to still use the chart to assume the other data is correct, as you can see, the 325e is faster with the 3.73, chip and cam. With a PROPER (MarkD) chip, you should knock a good .5+ sec off 0-60, and the cam is good for .4 according to that chart. So, you are looking at a faster 0-60 time for an eta with 3.73 and MarkD chip. (I was talking about a chipped eta in my other posts... hope you realize that. an eta without a chip sucks).
I'm not trying to defend the eta as a performance machine. But I own both, have put a LOT of miles on them (under actual racing conditions), and realize each of their abilities.

It's cool to see old articles like that for e30's though. Got any more?
